After some time on the internets --still trying to figure out these keyboards--- and a nap, i felt much better and joined Jody, a girl from Texas who is teaching English at the language school I will be going to, and Daniel, my host mother´s son, out in Heredia last night to meet up with some of Jody´s teacher friends. It was great. I had my first Imperial--yummy--and got to talk to the Americans about their experiences here so far and got a lot of info about the country from Daniel. Turns out one of the couples who teach English at the school are from Bellingham. Small, small world.
I am really looking forward to starting the language course tomorrow morning and I am also going to take a cooking class and sign up to go on some field trips around this area.
Today I am going to venture out and try to my bearings and find a phone card to call home. I feel so disconnected not being able to talk to anyone--something I will definitley have to get used to.
I am going to try to upload some pictures soon as well.
Esta Bien!
