The language school--Intercultura

Brownie, the adorable dog that lives in my homestay. He understands English and Spanish. I wonder if he will understand my dog voice....
Me.
Today I woke up at 7am to go to the language school to find out what class level I will be at. As expected, I am in the basic spanish class. In the school we can only speak Spanish so it´s a little hard but I think it will be really good as long as people speak very slowly. Mas despacio por favor.
Everyone at the school is really helpful and I already know a lot of the English teachers there so it´s really fun. There are also met a bunch of other students who are from the US but they are in different classes. There are only 2 of us in the basic class--me and a German girl named...Jana! How funny--she also has blue eyes and blonde hair so we don´t stand out at all...wink. We have class at 1:30 until 5:30 every day and I am so excited to learn how to actually have a conversation. Because I can´t speak the language very well it´s like I´m not myself----obviously I´m not used to being quiet!
I also signed up for a tango class, a jewelry making class, a cooking class and ¨field trips¨to the museum and movies. I love my extra-curriculars.
I absolutely adore my homestay mom, Margertia. She is so nice and so helpful. Her house is filled with people and she is so welcoming. Yesterday I went to the mall, yes, the mall, with her and her friend Brenda. They are hilarious and although I didn´t understand half of what they said, I still had a great time!
